Why do you think this buyer choosed my bid over the other freelancers biding on this project?
Here we are only displaying 7 bids (including mine) of the 33 bids that were posted on this project on freelance website RentACoder.com. The same concepts apply to any other freelance website, we are just using Rent A Coder as an example.
Was it because of my reputation?
Yes, it was one factor but notice how the first bidder that bided $575.00 and the bidder from Indonesia also have a strong reputation (even stronger than mine) so this is not always the strongest factor.
Was it because of my bid amount?
You bet not! Other bidders bided lower than me and they didn't get this project.
Was it because what I wrote to the buyer?
Yes, this was the strongest factor why buyer choosed my bid.
Buyer liked what I wrote to him on the first comment or bid text and caused him to get very interested in working with me withouth worrying that he had to pay me more than to other bidders for doing this freelance job.
So you can see why making your bid text or comments spot on when you apply on projects is so important to win projects!
I also assume that now you understand better the great benefit of having an experienced freelancer like our mentors here on our site to write bid text or comments for you for the projects that you wish to get on any freelance website. |
