The value of our service…
The value of our mentoring service clearly reflects in the interest that our mentors have shown towards our website. Many people just starting on freelancing think that they will do well by just marketing themselves alone or by just giving it a try and see how it goes.
This is because our mentors would have love to have mentors available to them to avoid many mistakes that they made in the beginning that cost them time and money.
The truth of the matter is that hiring a mentor on our site is the best possible way to do things on right foot. You will get the advice and support of years of experience from your chosen mentor and you will win more freelance jobs on freelance sites which consequently means more money in your pocket.
On freelancing, things are not “let’s see how it goes”, many people think that’s how it is but they never get to succeed with freelancing in that way.

Escrowing funds…
There are many freelance websites that offer escrow services to its users. Escrow service main purpose is to protect buyers/business owners that request projects on freelance websites.
This protection is great in the sense that the buyer feels confident that if freelancer/provider/coder doesn’t finish the project according to what he/she requested then buyer doesn’t release all funds to him/her or at least does a partial release for partial work completed.
Escrow basically gives protection and more control over what buyers can and can’t do with their money in order to ensure that their chosen freelancer actually dedicates to work on his/her project without feeling afraid of losing any money.
That’s why many buyers prefer to outsource their projects on freelance websites because the majority of well known freelance sites offer escrow.
Working outside freelance sites is in a sense a risk since you never know if you are going to get the work completed by the person you hire or if you will end up losing your money by hiring a freelancer on the other side of the world.

A nice conversation…
Not too long ago, I was speaking over the phone with the CEO of the famous freelance marketplace oDesk.com. We had a very nice conversation. See, Gary Swart who is the CEO of oDesk.com its a nice person to deal with and is very accessible and friendly. I can say the same things about Ian Ippolito who is the owner and CEO of RentACoder.com.
A topic touched with Gary was about teams. A very interesting feature of oDesk.com is that you have the ability that you can create teams inside the freelance marketplace. That´s an aspect that distinguishes oDesk.com over other freelance marketplaces. That aspect of team making and that you can have so much control over what every team member does. Definitely oDesk.com is a great marketplace that deserves a lot of respect since its a great place to work on projects and to get your projects done.
